About Author Caitlin Berve 

Hi Book Lovers! I’m Caitlin Berve, an award-winning fantasy author, editor, and speaker. Like many writers, I grew up a bookworm. I’ve always been drawn to mystery and magic, so I read and write all types of fantasy and craft things like dream catchers and origami.

Despite my love for stories, I couldn’t have fathomed a career in the writing industry until after college. Surrounded by family members in the medical field, I was determined to become a doctor. When I wasn’t chosen from the medical school waiting list, I was relieved and realized the fantasy novel I’d written in my spare time was my true passion.

Now I use my MFA to teach creative writing and founded Ignited Ink Writing, where I seek to fill the world with the kind of writing that lingers with readers like you and find magic in modern times.

When not writing, I run the trails in Colorado or do P90X workouts and drag my boyfriend and roommate to all of the festivals in the area. We’ve been to the Larksburg Renaissance Festival and the Natura Obsecura interactive art exhibit multiple times. I’ve always liked dressing up as various magic wielders and creatures, so you’ll find me in dragon costume on TikTok often.
